Ben Fon

Based in Melbourne, Australia and with over 15 years experience in the IT industry, I've been involved in two main areas. The first as an IT infrastructure and operations manager working at Tier 1 and 2 companies covering a wide range of areas such as unix (Solaris, AIX) and Linux, database (Oracle), storage and virtualisation.

The second area as an IT strategy consultant focusing on the education and small business sector. This came about through my interest in IT in general but also my direct experience of living in two of the University of Melbourne residential colleges for a number of years. I have strong experience in creative and practical application of technology to develop and strengthen communities as well as delivering business efficiencies.

Outside of IT, I have a keen interest with photography - particularly theatre photography - and have shot numerous amateur musical and drama productions as well as general events. I'm always keen to further develop my experience in this area and so if you are after a photographer for your theatre production, please get in contact with me.
